Sunday School

About our Sunday School . . .

Our Sunday School for children between five and eleven years of age normally meets on most Sundays at 10 o'clock. The children and their parents gather with the rest of the congregation in church at the start of the Parish Eucharist. 

We plan that a Sunday School Leader and a Helper are available to assist the children, whose parents can either stay with their children or join in the worship nearby. We make available suitable materials for the children to work from and at the end they may take their work home or leave it in church, so we can display it on our new display boards. At the end of the session, we invite the children to tell us what they have learned and they then lead us in a short prayer. 

Children can be prepared for Confirmation if they and their parents wish. This preparation is tailored to the children’s needs and is led by the Parish Priest in church, by arrangement, though normally at the end of a school day. He is normally assisted by a parishioner. We hope that parents will attend at least some of the sessions.
